Job summary

ID Logistics in the UK is seeking a Lead High-Volume Warehouse Operations Manager to help build our operations in Sittingbourne and beyond. You will shape processes, lead teams, and drive operational excellence in a fast-growing 3PL environment where your decisions impact expansion.

This day shift role runs Sunday to Wednesday, 8am to 6.30pm, on-site. You will oversee picking, packing, goods-in/out, safety, and continuous improvement, partnering with cross-functional teams to keep performance

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse teams in logistics or distribution environments.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities for a fast-paced operation.
• Solid understanding of warehouse processes (picking, packing, goods-in, goods-out, stock control).
• Ability to make confident decisions under pressure and communicate clearly across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices and compliance.
• Comfort with warehouse management systems and basic IT tools.
• Proactive, continuous-improvement mindset.
• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Allocate labour and resources to meet daily targets across picking, packing, goods-in, and goods-out.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety, ensuring all team members follow procedures.
• Monitor productivity and quality levels, taking action to resolve issues.
• Ensure accurate handling, storage and movement of stock.
• Communicate clearly with other departments and deliver thorough shift handovers.
• Manage equipment use, reporting defects or maintenance needs.

This is a day Shift Manager role in our Outbound Department, working Sunday to Wednesday, 8am to 6.30pm.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• Good understanding of warehouse processes (picking, packing, goods-in, goods-out, stock control)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make confident decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices
• Comfortable using warehouse management systems and basic IT tools
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Flexibility to work various shifts and support operational needs

This is a full-time on-site position. Working a 4-day week, with 10-hour shifts. Please note we may review and progress applications ahead of the closing date. We are not looking for agency support currently.
