Job summary

Natures Way Foods Ltd is seeking a Shift Manager to lead a high‑performing team in a busy production environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will oversee all production departments on your shift to ensure products are produced on schedule while meeting quality and cost targets.

• Proven experience managing teams in FMCG/food manufacturing or fresh produce.
• IOSH Managing Safety certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other Shift Managers to develop and implement strategies to achieve KPI targets.
• Provide clear leadership to the team, working with Department Managers to drive daily/weekly performance.
• Lead a culture focused on safety and quality in the workplace.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and raise standards with stakeholder engagement.

Overview

Join Natures Way Foods as a Shift Manager and lead a high-performing team to deliver safe, efficient production. Reporting to the Production Manager, you'll oversee all production departments on your shift, ensuring products are made on schedule and meet agreed quality and cost targets. Resilient under pressure, you'll be a natural leader, pleating a key role in developing and building your team to safely deliver on our quality standards.

The hours you'll work:

You'll work a rotating shift pattern of 2 weeks of day shifts followed by 2 weeks of night shifts, with 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm (days) or 7:00pm to 7:00am (nights).

Over a 4-week period, you'll work 14 shifts in total. A typical schedule is:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday

Weeks 3 & 4: The same pattern, but on night shifts

With this rota, you'll enjoy every other weekend off, giving you regular time to rest, recharge, and plan ahead.

What you'll do:

• Work closely with other Shift Managers to develop and implement strategies which ensure the site develops and implements strategies to deliver its KPI targets
• Provide clear, visible leadership to your team, working with Department Managers to drive performance on a daily and weekly basis
• Lead a culture which promotes a safe and quality driven workplace
• Play an active role in the delivery of our continuous improvement process for the site, identifying ways to reduce cost and improve standards, ensuring full stakeholder engagement throughout

What we're looking for from you:

• Proven experience managing teams within an FMCG or food manufacturing/fresh produce environment
• IOSH Managing Safety (or equivalent) certification
• A natural ability to lead and inspire others, understanding when to influence, negotiate or take a stand
• Strong planning and time management skills with an ability to remain resilient and calm under pressure
