Job summary

Greggs in Newport is seeking a Shift Manager to join its team. You will help run the shop in the Manager’s absence, motivate colleagues, and ensure customers have a brilliant experience whether in-store or via online orders.

Responsibilities include leading the team, serving customers fast and friendly, preparing products, stocking displays, and keeping the shop clean and presentable. Prior supervisory experience is valued, and a welcoming culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment would be beneficial.
• Strong leadership and team-motivation skills.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver excellent shop standards.
• Lead by example and serve customers promptly and courteously.
• Prepare products such as sandwiches and manage ovens during shifts.
• Ensure displays are well stocked and shop is tidy and presentable at all times.
• Oversee shop operations when the Manager is not on duty.

About the role

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first.

As part of the management team,you’llbe responsible forlooking after the shop when the Managerisn’taround. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers acrossa number ofdifferent channels; in-shop, delivery,Click+Collect and drive thru.Y ou'lllead the way inmaking sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online.

While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results andmaintainthe excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fullystocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean,tidyand presentable
