JMC Aviation Limited is recruiting a Shift Manager to support base and line maintenance at Gatwick. The role focuses on safety, compliance and technical excellence while delivering strong shift performance across quality, safety and customer service.

You will lead engineering teams, drive improvements and maintain a safe, compliant work environment. The position requires an engineering degree or Aircraft Maintenance licence and the legal right to work in the UK.

Salary/Rate: Annual Salary

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Shift Manager to support their base and line maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering practices are constantly delivered, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and processes
• Provide a safe working environment, drive and maintain safe and secure working practices with professional standards of work and housekeeping
• Deliver shift performance on quality, safety, operational, customer, financial, commercial and colleagues
• Drive engagement and builds effective relationships with trade unions, colleagues, stakeholders and partners by role modelling, embedding leadership and brand behaviours
• Maintain establishment and capability for shifts to support operation and finance plans
• Understand colleague performance, set and manage clear expectations
• Develop colleagues’ skills, capabilities and qualifications to support the operational requirements and talent pipeline for engineering
• Enable, empower and embed continuous improvement that delivers value added change

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable structured leadership or equivalent experience
• An Engineering Degree, other suitable qualification or Aircraft Maintenance B1/B2 Licence
• Evidence of leading technical teams to consistently deliver high performance in an operational, unionised environment
• Use of proven communication skills, engaging and influencing to deliver business objectives
• Evidence of identifying, leading and empowering change in an operational or service environment
• Demonstrates structured problem-solving skills to make fact-based decisions in a complex operational environment
• Sufficient technical knowledge to challenge the status quo and implement new ideas
• Right to live and work in the UK
