Press & Bindery Shift Manager

Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (Days/Nights)

Salary: GBP50,000 - GBP53,500

About the Role

Are you looking to join a print & packaging business that is committed to growth and is a key player in its market? This company delivers quality, time-sensitive printed products to high-profile clients. They are seeking a capable print professional confident in working within a large-scale print manufacturing environment.

You will join an experienced manufacturing team, contributing your knowledge, skills, and enthusiasm, especially in press or bindery management. Your responsibilities will include managing a manufacturing shift, overseeing all shop floor and personnel issues during your shift, and working closely with senior managers to ensure smooth operations.

Required Experience

• Management experience in print or bindery within a time-sensitive production environment (e.g., Newspapers, Packaging, Books, Magazines)
• Experience managing diverse skilled and semi-skilled operators and assistants
• Technical knowledge in litho or web offset print and high-speed bindery is advantageous
• Experience ensuring health and safety, quality, discipline, and equipment maintenance standards are met daily
• Experience working in a shift-based print environment (day and night shifts)
• Proven ability to help teams meet production targets and reduce wastage
