Job summary

Greencore’s Kiveton site is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head a multi-skilled maintenance shift, driving performance and plant availability across days and nights. You will develop a high performing team, plan workload, execute preventive maintenance, and ensure GMP and safety standards are met on all equipment.

You should have completed an accredited engineering apprenticeship (Level 3) or equivalent, with supervisory experience and PLC fault-finding skills.

Qualifications

• Engineer with accredited apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification.
• Experience with permit systems, risk assessments and method statements.
• Supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Fault finding on manufacturing machinery and PLC awareness.
• Maintaining engineering systems in a FMCG setting.
• Food manufacturing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Head an engineering shift team to create a high performing culture.
• Plan and prioritise the shift workload to maximise uptime.
• Execute planned preventive maintenance to sustain machine availability.
• Ensure all plant/equipment meet relevant legislation and safety standards.
• Maintain permit-to-work compliance for contractors and staff.
• Uphold GMP and food safety requirements across the unit.
• Document shift activities, CMMS entries, reports and root cause studies.
• Provide real time updates and participate in daily meetings.
