Job summary

Forterra Building Products Ltd seeks a Maintenance Engineer L2 for the Desford site to perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, ensuring safety and plant continuity. Responsibilities include CMMS reporting, TPM/PPM, spare parts control, and adherence to safety procedures.

The role requires formal qualifications in mechanical maintenance with hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge, welding skills, and training in safety practices.

Qualifications

• ONC Level 3 diploma in engineering, with HNC preferred.
• BFPA hydraulics and pneumatics Level 1 qualifications.
• Welding capability (MIG/MMA) and basic fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance reporting through CMMS system.
• Breakdown reporting and TPM/PPM activities.
• Monitor process stages to ensure safety and performance.
• Fit correct spare parts and rectify stoppages.
• Adhere to PPE, LOTOTO and housekeeping rules.
• Report health and safety issues to management.
