Job summary

TechNichols Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Shift Maintenance Engineer for a large industrial facility. The role covers reactive maintenance, fault finding, and planned preventive tasks across diverse machinery, with opportunities to learn electrical maintenance and upskill further.

The position offers a rotating shift pattern and a salary in the £40,000–£42,000 per annum range, with commuting options from Malmesbury, Faringdon, Chippenham and Swindon.

Qualifications

• 3+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing/processing environment.
• NVQ Level 3/4 in engineering with HND advantageous or C&G equivalent.
• Self-motivated with decision-making and quick response to business needs.
• Able to build relationships across all levels and work in a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication; MS Office proficiency.
• Record PPM information accurately in CMMS.
• Logical fault-finding approach with attention to detail.
• Willing to travel to offsite training facilities and other group factories.
• Experience with conveyors, boilers, packaging, bearings, motors, sensors, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc. is a plus.
• Friendly, adaptable, proactive and hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production machinery with reactive, troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance and support new installations and refurbishments.
• Work across a range of equipment and machinery within a large industrial setting.
• Collaborate with other engineers and production staff to minimise downtime.
