Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Shift Maintenance Engineer for a leading manufacturing business in Co. Antrim. You will maintain and repair production equipment, respond to faults, and drive improvements to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Role involves implementing maintenance schedules, ensuring safety and compliance, and collaborating with production teams to enhance efficiency and outputs.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
• Time-served experience as electrical and/or mechanical engineer.
• Experience in industrial maintenance environment.
• Fault-finding and repair skills in manufacturing setting.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and production equipment.
• Diagnose faults and repair mechanical and electrical systems to minimise downtime.
• Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure equipment is safe, operational and compliant with legislation.
• Maintain maintenance records in line with quality, H&S and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with production to improve efficiency and equipment performance.
• Provide technical support and share engineering knowledge across the business.
• Identify and implement technical solutions to improve processes and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and high-quality production.
