Job summary
Mach Recruitment is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer for a brand-new high automation facility in Oldham. You will join a 24/7 engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving equipment reliability across busy production lines, including mixers, cookers, depositors, packaging, and spiral freezers.
The role involves reactive maintenance, fault finding, planned preventive maintenance, and supporting new machinery as production capacity expands.
Qualifications
- Mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis and repair in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience maintaining production/manufacturing machinery.
- Ability to work in a busy, 24/7 factory environment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on manufacturing equipment.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Support installation and introduction of new production machinery.
- Investigate recurring breakdowns and implement improvements.
- Work with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and follow safety procedures.
