Job summary

Nestlé Purina in Wisbech is seeking a multi-skilled Shift Engineer to join the reliability maintenance team. You will maintain and improve machinery, drive safe operations, and deliver quality manufacturing outcomes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or a recognised engineering qualification in both mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Continuous improvement mindset with ability to implement process enhancements.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis.
• Lean manufacturing understanding and TPM experience.
• Mechanical comprehension with awareness of food safety and handling standards.
• Adherence to strict hygiene and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Machine maintenance and improvement activities; repair breakdowns.
• Drive safety culture and eliminate risks in the workplace.
• Ensure products are manufactured to quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvements in key manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with MWG/AWG teams to drive improvements using inspections, abnormality identification, centerlining and preventive maintenance.
