Equans is looking for a Shift Maintenance Assistant to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. This full-time role is 39.375 hours weekly, with a shift pattern of 2 days 7am-7pm, 2 nights 7pm-7am, then 4 days off.

You will work within the Estates Department to support electrical, plumbing and building tasks with a focus on safety and efficiency. The role requires practical experience in building maintenance, a valid driving licence, and the willingness to learn new

• Driving licence is essential.

Mansioni

• Perform tasks such as lamping, unblocking toilets and assisting with fire alarm system testing.
• Fault-find on non-complex equipment and assist in electrical/plumbing/building installation work.
• Assist in moving heavy loads, plant, equipment and furniture as required.
• Support Planned Preventative Maintenance in line with instructions.

This is a full time role working 39.375 hours per week. This is based on a shift pattern consisting of 2 days on between 7am-7pm, followed by 2 nights on between 7pm-7am, followed by 4 days off . On offer is a competitive salary, plus shift allowance and benefits package.What will you deliver?Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to skill level, without supervisionPerform a wide range of work such as; lamping, unblocking toilets, assisting when carrying out fire alarm system testing, fault-finding on non-complex equipment and assisting in electrical/plumbing/building installation workManufacture, assemble and install new work as appropriate to skill levelUnderstand the general working of the hospital's Estates Department, so that work can be carried out in the most efficient manner and be pro-active in developing new ways of workingEnsure all Planned Preventative Maintenance work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructionsRequirement to learn new techniques with training, as necessary.
