Equans is recruiting an M&E Maintenance Supervisor for Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The role is full-time, 40 hours weekly, 7am–3.30pm, with a 30-minute break and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will lead mechanical/electrical teams and external contractors to deliver safe, compliant building services. Applicants should hold an electrical or mechanical trade qualification to level 3, with hospital FM experience and proven supervisory capability.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice).
• Significant experience in a building services environment, ideally in a hospital.
• Supervisory/management experience and a client-focused approach.
• Good communication and customer service skills; ability to obtain DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical/electrical staff and contractors and allocate work to meet targets.
• Report to the Operations Manager and monitor performance and timesheets.
• Utilise Maximo CAFM for work orders and materials management.
• Provide estimates for quoted works and maintain records; participate in call-out rota.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours per week from 7am to 3.30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday.What will you deliver?Will report to the Operations ManagerTo supervise the mechanical/electrical/building trade staff and specialist contractorsEnsure the immediate and proper allocation of work, and the completion of such work in accordance with the performance monitoring system and to client satisfaction.Use of the Maximo CAFM system.Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion.Monitor trade staff performance, time-keeping and sickness in accordance with Company Policy.Provide estimates for quoted works, site measurements, cost control information and maintain necessary records for effective administration as directed.Required to undertake training and qualify as Authorised Person and/or Competent Person if required.Requirement to work with tools as necessary day to day, during emergencies and supporting staffWorking 40 hours per week from 7am to 3.30pm, with a 30 minute unpaid break, Monday to Friday.
