We are seeking a responsible, caring, and nurturing individual to join us as a Shift Leader. You will work with a newly established team to provide exceptional care to two Wolverhampton young people who have experienced early childhood trauma in our residential home. Your role will involve supporting our children and young people emotionally and practically, ensuring their safety and well-being.

The work is challenging but rewarding, as you support children and young people in making meaningful changes. Our setting has a strong safeguarding culture with embedded trauma-informed practices, ensuring children feel valued and listened to. We aim for our children and young people in care to experience a safe, loving, and fun family environment. No two days are the same.
You will collaborate with other shift leaders and the management team to safeguard children and young people, providing daily care that meets their health, education, social, psychological, and emotional needs. The Shift Leader will assist in the daily running of the home, monitor the quality of care, and supervise staff to ensure care plans are implemented and positive outcomes are achieved.
Applicants must have at least 2 years’ recent experience working in a residential setting within the last 5 years, and 1 year of supervising staff in a care profession. Knowledge of Children’s Home regulations is essential. The candidate should hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
