Job summary

Müller in Telford is seeking a proactive Shift Leader for the Filling Department. You will lead and support a production team to deliver safe, high-quality products while achieving performance targets across safety, quality, service and cost.

As a people leader you’ll drive continuous improvement, coach your team and maintain high standards across the operation, while upholding Müller values and collaborating with audits and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume food manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Knowledge of food safety, quality standards and audit requirements.
• Technical understanding of processing and filling equipment.
• Strong Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Environmental standards awareness.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead your shift team to achieve Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and People objectives.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Support and prepare for BRCGS, customer and internal audits.
• Drive continuous improvement activities and lead root cause problem-solving initiatives.
• Manage team performance effectively, providing coaching, support and development where needed.
• Deliver clear and consistent communication through team briefs, updates and engagement sessions.
• Lead by example, demonstrating Müller values and behaviours.
• Conduct regular one-to-one conversations and provide constructive feedback to support individual development.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational requirements.

Hours/Shift Pattern: 42 hours per week | 4 on 4 off (7-7) | Days & Nights

Are you an experienced people leader looking for your next challenge in food manufacturing?

Qualifications: Relevant technical qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
