Overview

Shift Lead Building Services Engineer

Location: London

Shifts: 7am - 7pm Continental Shift Pattern

Permanent | Full-Time

Lead critical building operations and drive performance on a high-profile site. This role involves supervising a shift team and ensuring the reliable operation of essential building services across a critical site. You will be the go-to expert for maintaining key systems and managing reactive tasks efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a shift team in delivering planned and reactive maintenance to building services.
  • Ensure optimal operation of HVAC, UPS, Generators, and LV systems, using BMS and alarm data for fault diagnosis.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on-site, ensuring safety and compliance with work permits and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation through a computer-based maintenance system (e.g., Maximo), ensuring timely updates and completion of tasks.
  • Champion safe working practices, ensuring method statements and risk assessments are followed at all times.
  • Keep plant rooms secure, clean, and serviceable, with available spares and tools to respond quickly to system faults.
  • Lead on the delivery of KPI/SLA targets and ensure reports and shift handovers meet required standards.
