Job summary

M&S FOODHALL in Gainsborough seeks a Shift Lead - Food to manage the fill operation and ensure the salesfloor is ready to trade. You will coordinate resources to support the Colleague Manager and lead the floor in their absence.

You will coach colleagues on One Best Way, drive productivity, and ensure daily processes are executed efficiently. A frontline role with opportunities for growth within the store.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation to deliver a salesfloor ready to trade.
• Coordinate resources to complete daily tasks and support the Colleague Manager.
• Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity.
• Ensure all daily operational processes are implemented efficiently across their area of the store.
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, safe and well-presented store.
• Create a great team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone.
• Model M&S behaviours and Colleague Expectations across the store.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to deliver high performance.
• Support nearby stores if operatively required.
• Act as a key holder and respond to call outs as required.
• Handle opening and closing tasks, including receipt of vehicles, temperature controls, logging issues, and cash handling.
