Job summary

Marks and Spencer in Winchester is seeking a frontline team member to lead the fill operation and deliver a ready-to-trade store environment. You will coordinate resources to serve, sell and fill, and support the Colleague Manager when needed.

The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to handle opening/closing tasks. Applicants must be 18 or older and be prepared for a busy, frontline retail shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fill operation, delivering a ready-to-trade salesfloor and coordinating resource for Serve, Sell and Fill.
• Coordinate resource to deliver daily tasks during the fill operation and when the Colleague Manager is away.
• Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity ahead of store opening.
• Allocate staff to deliver a quick, smooth payment experience for customers.
• Ensure all daily operational processes run efficiently at the right times.
• Lead a team to keep the store clean, safe and well-presented.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive team atmosphere and culture.
• Model great customer service and M&S behaviours across the store.
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to drive high performance.
• Assist nearby stores if operationally required.
• Act as a key holder and handle call-outs as required.
• Oversee opening/closing tasks including vehicle receipt, temperature checks, logging issues with Helpdesks, cash handling, and TS&L compliance in peripheral hours.

• Coordinate resource to deliver the operational tasks during the fill operation and in the absence of the Colleague Manager
• Lead the fill operation, coaching colleagues on One Best Way and driving productivity in readiness for store opening
• Allocate resource effectively to deliver a quick payment experience
• Enable all daily operational processes to be implemented efficiently across their area of the store, at the correct times
• Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, safe and well-presented store
• Play their part in creating a great team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone
• Role model great Customer Service
• Role model the M&S behaviours and Colleague Expectations across the store
• Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations of colleagues to help deliver high performance and recognise great colleagues
• Support nearby stores if operationally required
• Responsible for being a key holder and answering call outs as required
• Responsible for tasks related to the opening and closing of the building, including receipt of vehicles, temperature controls, logging operational issues with relevant Helpdesks, cash handling and TSL compliance in peripheral hours.
