B&Q Ayr is seeking a Shift Lead to oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues. The role involves guiding a team across a 6am–10pm window, with a 5-shift pattern per week, in a permanent contract.

We expect a customer-focused approach, leadership in shift planning, and a proactive attitude to maintain high standards and store safety. Competitive salary includes pension and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work 6am–10pm and cover 5 shifts per week.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Safety conscious and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Be the heartbeat of the store day-to-day and ensure operations run smoothly.
• Deploy colleagues effectively to cover the shift and serve customers.
• Be the first point of contact for customers and colleagues.
• Ensure the store remains safe at all times.
