Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Interpret and judge across pre-planned and reactive maintenance and emergencies in a controlled manner.
• Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations and equipment.
• Deliver high standards of workmanship across complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Monitor the CAFM system to ensure tasks are assigned on time and resolved.
• Observe health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.

Role: Shift Heating Ventilation Engineer
Hours: 42 hours (12 hours shift pattern: 4 days On, 4 days Off, 4 nights On, 4 nights Off)
Location: Coventry, CV2 2DX

Role Responsibilities

• Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding the complexity of pre‑planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, unplanned events and emergencies while working in a controlled manner.
• Diagnose and repair faults in engineering, electrical and/or plumbing installations, plant and equipment, adapting to new situations as they arise and sharing knowledge with others..
• Delivering high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understanding the relationship between mechanical and electrical systems.
• Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure all tasks are assigned within appropriate timescales and issues are resolved proactively.
• Observe statutory requirements including health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical engineering or equivariant
  IOSH Working safely
• Completion of a structured training programme in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.
