Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Electrical Engineer with HV experience to support the safe, efficient and continuous running of our fast-paced plant at Ellesmere Port. You will perform planned maintenance, fault-finding and on-site installations.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification, apprenticeship, or time-served experience.
• IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations knowledge is advantageous.
• HV switching experience is advantageous, not essential.
• Experience with power supplies, lighting, meters, circuit boards and pumps.
• Ability to diagnose faults and complete paperwork accurately and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault-finding, planned maintenance and reactive repairs for electrical plant.
• Support team members as directed by the Supervisor or Contract Manager.
• Ensure all tasks are completed within contractual time scales.
• Complete electrical installations and system upgrades on site.
• Supervise visiting sub-contractors, ensuring safe and high-quality work.
• Adopt a flexible approach to support other properties within the portfolio.
• Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
• Work safely and diligently, following company policies and procedures.
• Participate fully in training, appraisals and development activities.
• Undertake training in mechanical maintenance and assist the mechanical team when required.

SHIFT : Day shift - 0600 - 1800, Night Shift 18:00-0600 Week 1 - 4 nights, 3 off Week 2 - 3 days 1 off 3 nights Week 3 - 3 off, 4 days Week 4 - 7 off
