Job summary

Mitie is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to maintain and enhance building services across our Whitehall, London site.

You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance, liaising with engineers and clients to ensure standards. The role requires City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition BS 7671, with a proactive, team-based approach.

Qualifications

• Must have City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services completed.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) certified.
• Experience in estates or facilities management environments with LV networks.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance with Mitie engineers and subcontractors.
• Ensure CAFM system updates and complete documentation on time.
• Maintain proactive client liaison and escalate concerns as needed.
• Support standby rota for emergency calls outside normal hours.
• Demonstrate teamwork and leadership across electrical/building services.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance, ensuring standards are maintained and liaising with Mitie engineers, subcontractors, and clients to address concerns
• Ensure compliance with business risk management procedures and complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, including CAFM system updates
• Maintain a proactive approach to client liaison, ensuring effective communication and escalation of concerns where necessary
• Support operational requirements including participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours
• Demonstrate flexibility, strong teamwork, leadership qualities, and a ‘can do' attitude while maintaining high standards across electrical and building services systems

Required Qualifications:

• Substantial practical experience with a comprehensive knowledge of all building services disciplines, LV systems and networks, standby generator and environmental systems
• City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Experience in a technical estates or facilities management environments, including L.V networks & stand-by generators
