Job summary

Tarmac Trading Limited in Stanford-le-Hope is seeking a Shift Maintenance Fitter to join our site team. The role involves day-to-day maintenance on production machinery, with shifts that include days and nights, and work across multiple plant areas on planned or reactive tasks.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statuary and SHE standards, maintain and repair mechanical equipment, and record all activities in the CMMS system.

Qualifications

• Experience in day-to-day maintenance on production machinery.
• Knowledge of statuary and SHE standards.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
• Experience in maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment.
• Welding and/or pipefitting would be advantageous.
• IOSH training will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance activities including planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery.
• Meet statuary and SHE standards as a minimum.
• Work on a variety of plant across the site on planned or reactive basis.
• Record all work on the site CMMS system.
• Be dynamic, self-motivated and able to work with good communication.

Job description

We are currently looking for aShift Maintenance Fitter to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope. The shift patterns will vary from days and nights.

Main Responsibilities

In the role of Shift Maintenance Fitter you will be responsible for:

• Day-to-day maintenance activities which include planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery
• Meeting statuary and SHE standards as a minimum
• This is a day-work role, working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basis
• You will be required to record all work on the site CMMS system
• This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised with good communication skills
• IOSH training will be an advantage.
• Experience of maintaining/replacement of mechanical parts including bearings, shafts, rollers.
• Skilled with hand tools, bearing presses and fitting tools
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
• Experience in maintaining and repair of mechanical equipment
• Experience in welding and/or pipefitting would be advantageous
