Arriva TrainCare is seeking a Shift Fitter for the Crewe depot to maintain and overhaul passenger rolling stock. You will work nights on a 4 on 4 off rota, reporting to the Service Delivery Leader and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have NVQ Level 3 and experience in rail vehicle maintenance. The role offers a permanent contract with comprehensive benefits and a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent required.
• Experience with rail traction and rolling stock preferred.
• Ability to interpret and read engineering drawings.

Reporting to the Team Leader you will efficiently carry out maintenance and overhaul of rail vehicles to laid down standards and procedures and play an active part in continuously improving product quality.A fantastic permanent contract opportunity with great additional benefits including a salary of £42,.810.53 per annum along with 26 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays), pension, life and healthcare cover, Arriva Travel Pass, Cycle to Work scheme and Arriva Village retailer discount scheme.This is a permanent contract, working an average of 37 hours per week, 19:00-06:00 on a 4 on 4 off rota.**What will I be doing as a Shift Fitter?**Duties will include, although not be limited to;Carry out work as allocated by the Service Delivery Leader within set timescales and to the recognised standardsOperate (drive) rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits, and in accordance with all relevant operating proceduresEnsure that safety procedures and documents are adhered to in accordance with VMI & local instructionEnsure that work sheets are signed off promptly and correctly on completion of workEnsure that the appropriate Quality and Environmental procedures and work instructions are adhered toAttend technical, quality, safety and general briefings ensuring that the necessary action is taken on items raised**What will I need to be considered for this Shift Fitter role?**Minimum NVQ Level 3, ideally with experience of working with rail traction and rolling stockPrevious experience, involvement and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activitiesUnderstanding of Depot OperationsAble to interpret engineering drawings**More about us:**At Arriva TrainCare we provide high quality overhaul, maintenance and servicing of passenger rolling stock, locomotives, freight wagons and track plant.
