Equans is looking for a Shift Assistant Estate Manager to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 39.375 hours per week, on a shift rota: 2 days on (7am-7pm), 2 nights (7pm-7am), then 4 days off.

Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical background required.
• DBS Standard check is essential.

Responsibilities

• Direct management of a team of 7 including electrical, mechanical and fabric personnel.
• Collaborate with other AEMs to provide efficient, cohesive estate service.
• Manage day-to-day performance of the Acute Shift team, including planned, corrective and reactive maintenance.
• Direct staff safely and efficiently, managing absence and rota coverage.
• Deliver training to staff on relevant subjects (e.g., toolbox talks).
• Meet with staff to discuss performance and complete appraisals.
• Ensure rota coverage and utilisation.
