Job summary

Klöckner Pentaplast seeks an Engineering Shift Manager to lead the engineering function on a manufacturing shift, ensuring safe, reliable operation of all equipment and site utilities. The role focuses on minimising downtime, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining compliance with health, safety, environmental, food manufacturing and engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Lead and manage the engineering function across a shift.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation of all manufacturing equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement and compliance with health, safety, environmental and engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the engineering team during the shift, ensuring work is completed safely and to standard.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with food manufacturing standards, health and safety legislation and company policies.
• Monitor equipment performance to improve reliability, efficiency and OEE.
• Manage engineering priorities with Production to maximise manufacturing performance.
• Maintain maintenance records, handover docs and CMMS entries.
• Coach and develop engineers and apprentices to improve capability and performance.
• Support engineering projects, installations and commissioning activities.
• Ensure spare parts and tools are available when required.
