Job summary

The Collective Network Limited is seeking a Shift Engineer for a modern manufacturing site near Liverpool. The role offers a 4 on, 4 off days and nights pattern and a salary up to £55,000 DOE.

You will join an established engineering team to maintain and improve equipment reliability. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site machinery, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and work with PLCs, inverters, hydraulics and pneumatics.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer or Shift Engineer.
• Electrical bias preferred but not essential.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar industrial environment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, automation and industrial machinery.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to fault-finding and problem-solving.
• Relevant engineering qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Engineers from other industrial backgrounds, including ex-military, are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across site machinery.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults.
• Working with PLCs, inverters, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Improving equipment reliability, safety and performance.
• Working closely with production to keep operations running efficiently.
