Job summary

First Circle Packaging Limited is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to ensure plant and equipment perform to required standards and to support a shift-based team in improving manufacturing operations.

The role involves executing planned maintenance, monitoring machinery, and proactively implementing improvements to reduce downtime and waste while meeting quality targets. You will work closely with the Shift Manager and Engineering Team on repairs, projects, and process optimisations.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer with practical maintenance experience.
• Fault-find and diagnose electrical/electronic faults.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Practical understanding of PLC equipment is preferred but not essential.
• Hands-on, results-oriented approach and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Shift Manager to improve equipment efficiency and product quality.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance to the schedule and safety standards.
• Monitor machinery performance and initiate improvements to avoid downtime.
• Resolve problems quickly and safely, minimize waste and meet targets.
• Suggest projects to improve health, safety, quality and site performance.
• Communicate safety, quality and machinery issues with colleagues.
• Assist Engineering Team with repairs and breakdowns as needed.
• Support production, projects and reconfigurations as required.
• Fulfill reasonable requests from the Shift Manager.
