Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – Packaging Plant

Job summary

WR Engineering is recruiting a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a tier-one packaging manufacturer. The role is hands-on, multi-skilled, focusing on fault finding, reactive repairs and TPM-driven improvements to minimize downtime.

The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background, be able to read electrical drawings, and be familiar with PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics and hydraulics within a manufacturing setting. 42 hours per week, nights only.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Recognised engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical installation experience, 17th/18th Edition beneficial.
• Blow moulding or injection moulding experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fault diagnosis and repair of production equipment.
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance across site machinery.
• Planned preventative maintenance and TPM activities.
• Supporting improvements to machine efficiency and downtime reduction.
• General site maintenance and safety checks.
• Working to health & safety, quality and hygiene standards.
