Minor Hotels Europe & Americas is opening The Westdill Mayfair Colbert Collection in London and seeks a skilled Shift Engineer to support daily operation and maintenance, ensuring facilities and guest areas meet luxury standards.

You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues, work closely with departments, and help shape guest experience from day one.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably within a luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing systems.
• Hands-on approach with problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Fluent English; other languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair works across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests and technical issues.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, functionality, and presentation of the property.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues.
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of all hotel facilities and equipment.
• Work closely with operational departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and statutory requirements.
