Winsearch is seeking a Shift Engineer in Reading with a starting salary of £53,300 to £55,350. This hands-on role offers ongoing training and long-term career development within a well-established manufacturing environment.

You will join a supportive engineering team, focusing on equipment availability, maintenance, and safe operation across day and night rotations. A strong attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Working within the site Engineering team to maximise equipment availability.
• Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities.
• Assisting with breakdown response and fault diagnosis.
• Maintaining plant and production equipment.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Developing site-specific engineering competencies through ongoing training.
• Building technical knowledge with the support of experienced colleagues.

Shift Engineer - Reading - £53,300 to £55,350 + Training, Progression & Long-Term Career Development

Do you have at least 12 months' experience in a maintenance, engineering, production or manufacturing environment?

Are you someone who enjoys getting hands-on with machinery, equipment and problem solving?

Are you keen to build a long-term engineering career and continue developing your skills?

Do you live within a reasonable commuting distance of Reading?

If the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Shift Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business that is prepared to invest significantly in developing engineers who demonstrate the right attitude and appetite to learn.

The Shift Pattern

• 4 On / 4 Off
• 2 x Days: 07:00 to 19:00
• 2 x Nights: 19:00 to 07:00
• 4 Days Off
