Job summary

Trinity Resource Solutions is assisting a well-established industrial manufacturer in recruiting a proactive Shift Engineer. You will be the on-shift engineering lead on a 4 on/4 off day pattern, owning maintenance of automated production equipment to minimise downtime.

You will respond to breakdowns, perform Planned Preventative Maintenance, conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement, while keeping CMMS records and ensuring safe, efficient work.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent).
• 18th Edition, IOSH or NEBOSH certificates.
• Experience in manufacturing or automated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering on shift to minimise downtime.
• Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate CMMS maintenance records.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and efficiently.

We're working exclusively with a well-established industrial manufacturing business that is investing heavily in its engineering team. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a proactive Shift Engineer to join a high-performing operation where you'll be trusted to take ownership of the engineering function during your shift.

If you enjoy fault finding, solving problems quickly and working on a variety of automated production machinery, this could be exactly the challenge you're looking for.

The Role

Working on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern, you'll be the engineering lead on shift, responsible for maintaining production equipment and ensuring downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

You'll be involved in:

• Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Fault finding across automated production equipment
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Supporting production teams to maximise uptime
• Completing accurate maintenance records using CMMS
• Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently

We're looking for someone with:

• Multi-skilled engineering experience (Mechanical or Electrical bias considered)
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, processing, logistics or automated environments
• The confidence to work independently and prioritise workloads
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent)
• 18th Edition, IOSH, NEBOSH or similar
• Experience working with conveyors, automated machinery or industrial processing equipment
