Winsearch is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a long-established commercial laundry in Sheffield. You will maintain, repair and improve a wide range of laundry machinery to ensure smooth operation. PM shift 2:30pm–11:45pm, 40 hours per week, with overtime on weekends.

  • Previous maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing, production, laundry, FMCG or similar environments.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).

  • Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
  • Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Commercial Laundry)

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a long-established commercial laundry business based in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly successful family-owned company that has been operating for over 130 years. The Role

Working as part of a close-knit engineering team of five, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving a wide range of commercial laundry machinery and equipment to ensure the smooth running of the operation.

This role is ideally suited to a mechanically biased engineer who also possesses good electrical fault-finding skills. Formal electrical qualifications are not essential, but you should be comfortable working with electrical systems and diagnosing faults.

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday
  • PM Shift: 2:30pm - 11:45pm
  • 40 hours per week
  • Please note: As part of this role, engineers are expected to work an additional 5 hours overtime on either a Saturday or Sunday on approximately 46 weekends per year. These hours are paid at time and a half and form part of the expected earnings package.
  • There are also further overtime opportunities available for those wishing to increase their earnings.
Salary & Benefits
