Job summary

Just Temps is recruiting a Shift Engineer for a client based in Clacton-on-Sea. The role is initially temporary for up to 12 weeks with a view to permanent for the right candidate.

You will maintain site equipment through planned maintenance, fault finding and rapid breakdown response, working a 12-hour shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 4 rest days) across a 42-hour week. Salary is up to £42,600 per annum.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Minimise production downtime and related quality issues related to machinery condition.
• Participate in fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment.
• Act as incident coordinator (on shift) in the event of major breakdowns / incidents requiring the involvement / call in of other maintenance and support services.
