Thrive Group are delighted to be working with our client in Shepton Mallet who are actively looking to recruit a Shift Engineer to join the team on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will influence engineering and production teams and manage corrective and planned maintenance across the site, ensuring equipment efficiency and compliance with safety standards. This role operates on a 4 on/4 off shift pattern with a competitive package.

Responsibilities

• To manage the Engineering strategy across the site, ensuring maximum efficiency of equipment and meeting operational requirements.
• To influence engineering and production teams and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Carry out corrective maintenance on plant machinery and services quickly and record downtime.
• Carry out planned maintenance on plant machinery and services as scheduled by the Engineering Department.

What you will be doing:

To manage the Engineering strategy across the site, in order to ensure maximum efficiency of equipment, whilst meeting operational requirements.

What you will need to succeed:

• To influence engineering and production teams.
• To carry out and record corrective maintenance on plant machinery and services quickly and efficiently, so as to cause the least amount of machinery downtime.
• To carry out and record planned maintenance on plant machinery and services as scheduled by the Engineering Department.
• Demonstrate a commitment to companies' Food Safety and Quality policies, procedures and work instructions to produce safe, legal and authentic products to a specified quality.

What you will receive in return:

• £51,510.48 for Shift Engineer for 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
• 2 x 12 hour days, then 2 x 12 hour nights, then 4 off. 06.00 to 18.00, then 18.00 to 06.00.
