Job summary

Trinity Resource Solutions partners with a leading industrial manufacturer to recruit a proactive Shift Engineer. You will lead the engineering function on shift, maintaining production equipment and minimising downtime on a 4 on / 4 off day pattern.

You will fault find on conveyors, automated machinery and processing lines, carry out PPM, and drive root cause analysis to continually improve uptime. CMMS records must be accurate and safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• Shifts include 4 on / 4 off day pattern.
• Fault-finding on automated production equipment.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or automated environments.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mechanical and electrical breakdowns on shift.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Fault finding across automated production equipment.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Support production teams to maximise uptime.
• Complete accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
• Ensure all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently.

We're working exclusively with a well-established industrial manufacturing business that is investing heavily in its engineering team. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a proactive Shift Engineer to join a high-performing operation where you'll be trusted to take ownership of the engineering function during your shift.

If you enjoy fault finding, solving problems quickly and working on a variety of automated production machinery, this could be exactly the challenge you're looking for.

The Role

Working on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern, you'll be the engineering lead on shift, responsible for maintaining production equipment and ensuring downtime is kept to an absolute minimum.

You'll be involved in:

• Responding to mechanical and electrical breakdowns
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Fault finding across automated production equipment
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement
• Supporting production teams to maximise uptime
• Completing accurate maintenance records using CMMS
• Ensuring all engineering work is completed safely and efficiently

We're looking for someone with:

• Multi-skilled engineering experience (Mechanical or Electrical bias considered)
• Strong fault-finding ability
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, production, processing, logistics or automated environments
• The confidence to work independently and prioritise workloads
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent)
• 18th Edition, IOSH, NEBOSH or similar
• Experience working with conveyors, automated machinery or industrial processing equipment
