Job summary

Imperial London Hotels in London seeks a Shift Engineer / Property Maintenance Officer to manage daily maintenance tasks and keep guest bedrooms in immaculate condition at Holiday Inn Bloomsbury. The role is 40 hours weekly, with flexibility across 5/7 days.

You will bring at least 2 years in property maintenance, strong safety focus, proactive approach, and good communication. Familiarity with maintenance management systems and a team-oriented ethos is essential; ILH offers extensive benefits

Shift Engineer /Property Maintenance Officer

40 hours a week (5/7 days a week Flexibility is required)

We’re seeking a Trade Specialist to join our dedicated property maintenance team.

As an essential member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing various daily maintenance tasks, ensuring that guest bedrooms are well‑maintained and consistently presented in immaculate condition.

Great Location: Based in our newly acquired and refurbished IHG Brand, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury Hotel with 316 rooms. It’s a lively place to be, offering a ground floor coffee bar, atmospheric Irish pub and 14 event spaces that can accommodate up to 300 people.

Essential Skills

What we’re looking for:

• 2 years experience in Property Maintenance or similar role.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of safety and functionality.
• Team player who thrives in a busy environment.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Desirable Skills (Not Required But a Plus)

• Certifications in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, or related fields.
• Experience with energy management and sustainability initiatives.
• Multi‑site management experience.
