Job summary

Hunter Selection Limited is recruiting an experienced Shift Engineer for their flagship UK site in Northampton. The role is on a 12-hour shift rota offering 90 days off per year, with days off in between rotations.

You will maintain production, processing and packaging machinery and lead continuous improvement projects. The ideal candidate has a mechanical bias, 5+ years in industrial settings, and hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs and CMMS systems.

Qualifications

• Looking for a multi-skilled engineer with a mechanical bias
• Must have experience on industrial production, processing & packaging machinery
• At least 5 years' experience outside of apprenticeship
• Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship scheme
• NVQ or City Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher
• Happy with rotating shift pattern, holidays built into yearly rota
• Computer literate - able to use SAP systems / CMMS
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, control panels, gearboxes
• Welding/fabrication/fitting skills are a bonus
• Passionate about reliability engineering and asset care management

Role & Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:
