Job summary

CBRE GWS in City of London is seeking a Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at a flagship commercial property. You will operate, maintain and monitor building services systems to ensure safety, compliance and uptime.

The successful candidate will have an electrical or mechanical engineering qualification and experience in commercial building services, with strong fault-finding and communication skills to support a high-profile environment.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical or mechanical engineering qualification.
• Previous experience within commercial building services.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
• Experience in critical/high-profile commercial environments advantageous.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Operation and monitoring of BMS systems.
• Fault finding on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Management of building services systems.
• Support compliance activities and statutory inspections.
• Escort and manage specialist subcontractors.
• Completion of maintenance documentation and reports.
• Participate in site emergency response procedures.
• Support minor projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
