TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading global intralogistics business to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for Croydon.

You will carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors and sortation equipment, with electrical testing up to 480V.

This permanent role offers strong training and development, a competitive salary of around £51,045, and a benefits package including pension, private healthcare and life cover.

Qualifications

• NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in a fast-paced automated warehousing/manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge is beneficial.
• Experience using CMMS systems to manage engineering inventory.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, conveyors and sortation equipment.
• Mechanical tasks including strip-downs, component replacement and belt re-lacing.
• Electrical testing up to 480V and interpreting electrical diagrams to fault-find.
• Reporting job details and follow-up tasks in a CMMS.
• Providing maintenance support to on-site customer systems.
• General housekeeping of machinery and work area.

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems as they search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on equipment such as shuttles, conveyor systems and sortation equipment in a fast paced environment. As a business they have a strong reputation for training & development of their staff and operate within strong and growing markets.

Shift Pattern:

• Monday - Friday
• Double days
• 6am - 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (weekly rotation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
• Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
• Mechanical maintenance tasks such as the strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts for example.
• Electrically, you will be responsible for electrical testing using a multi-meter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to support identification of faults and work up to 480v.
• Reporting Job details, breakdown information and follow up tasks in a CMMS system.
• Providing exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer’s installed systems.
• General care and housekeeping of machinery and work areas.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, high volume facility - automated warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG and packaging facilities would prove a good transfer. Alongside Military personnel.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
• Experience using CMMS systems & managing engineering inventory.
