Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a permanent role in Croydon, offering a salary of around £51,045. The role involves working on automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors and sortation equipment, with a Monday–Friday shift pattern and weekly rotation between 6am–2pm and 2pm–10pm.

You will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, electrical testing up to 480V, and contribute to continuous improvement, reporting details in a CMMS and supporting on-site customers.

Qualifications

• Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Experience with Electrical/Mechanical maintenance on automated systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs and their functionality.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.
• Performing Electrical and Mechanical maintenance on Automated Storage Retrieval Systems, conveyance systems and sortation equipment.
• Mechanical maintenance tasks such as the strip-down and re-assembly of equipment, replacement of components and re-lacing of belts.
• Electrically, you will be responsible for electrical testing using a multi-meter, interpreting electrical diagrams & symbols to support identification of faults and work up to 480v.
• Reporting Job details, breakdown information and follow up tasks in a CMMS system.
• Providing exceptional maintenance support to the on-site customer’s installed systems.

TXM Recruit are partnering with a leading, Global Intralogistics business who specialise in the design, development and maintenance of highly automated systems as they search for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. This role will provide the opportunity to work on equipment such as shuttles, conveyor systems and sortation equipment in a fast paced environment. As a business they have a strong reputation for training & development of their staff and operate within strong and growing markets.

Shift Pattern:

Monday – Friday

Double days

6am – 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (weekly rotation)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out preventative and reactive Maintenance tasks across the site, as well as contributing to continuous improvement tasks.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

• Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a fast paced, high volume facility – automated warehousing, manufacturing, FMCG and packaging facilities would prove a good transfer. Alongside Military personnel.
• Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
• Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory.
