Job summary

Hyatt Regency London Olympia is seeking a proactive Shift Engineer to join our engineering team. You will deliver tasks and repairs across the property, covering guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house spaces to uphold high standards and guest satisfaction.

We value broad technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, with emphasis on safety and quality. You will work independently or with the team and enjoy excellent benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hotel engineering is preferred.
• Broad technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical and plumbing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the engineering team to deliver tasks and repairs across the property.
• Carry out engineering work in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring high standards and supporting guest experience.
• Handle general engineering tasks across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Complete planned preventive engineering work within plant rooms, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property, with attention to safety features and equipment condition.

Duties And Responsibilities Related To The Shift Engineer Role

• Handle general engineering tasks across multiple disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, air-conditioning, fire protection, carpentry, and plumbing, while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
• Complete planned preventive engineering work within plant rooms, guest rooms, and public areas
• Conduct regular inspections of the property, with particular attention to safety features and the condition of operational equipment

About You

Previous experience in hotel engineering is preferred. You have broad technical knowledge across disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.

Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented, you are comfortable working independently or collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence at all times.
