Job description

We are currently looking for a Shift Electrician to join our team in Linford, Stanford-le-Hope. The shift patterns are: Days - 6am - 6pm, Nights - 6pm - 6am

In the role of Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for:

1. Working as part of a team, responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities including planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery in the manufacture of Aircrete blocks or similar products.
2. Meeting statutory and SHE standards as a minimum.
3. This is a shift role, working on various plant throughout the site as directed on a planned or reactive basis.
4. Recording all work on the site CMMS system.
5. This is a dynamic, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised role, requiring good communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience of:

1. A manufacturing background (beneficial).
2. Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
3. Experience maintaining/replacing automation control systems including motors, inverter drives, contactors, etc.
4. Successfully completed 17th edition BS7671 wiring regulations.
5. PLC programming qualifications (Siemens S5 and S7) - desirable but not essential.
6. Basic computer skills.
