Job description

We are currently looking for a Shift Electrician to join our team in Linford, Stanford-le-Hope. The shift patterns are: Days - 6am - 6pm, Nights - 6pm - 6am

In the role of Shift Electrician, you will be responsible for:

1. Working as part of a team, responsible for day-to-day maintenance activities including planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery in the manufacture of Aircrete blocks or other similar products.
2. Meeting statutory and SHE standards as a minimum.
3. This is a shift role, working on a variety of plant throughout the block manufacturing site as directed on a planned or reactive basis.
4. Recording all work on the site CMMS system.
5. This is a dynamic role, mostly self-motivated and self-supervised, requiring good communication skills.

The ideal candidate for the role of Shift Electrician will have experience of:

1. A manufacturing background is beneficial.
2. Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical engineering.
3. Experience in maintaining/replacing automation control systems including motors, inverter drives, contactors, etc.
4. Successfully completed 17th edition BS7671 wiring regulations.
5. PLC programming qualifications (Siemens S5 and S7) are desirable but not essential.
6. Fault-finding skills.
7. Basic computer skills.
