Job summary

Mitie operates critical M&E systems in a high-security data centre in Central London. We are seeking a Multi Skilled Shift Engineer - Electrical & Mechanical to operate, maintain, and support essential services, including UPS, LV generators, HVAC, and BMS.

You'll perform PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults, supervise contractors, and ensure health and safety with permit-to-work processes. A City & Guilds Level 2/3 or equivalent and 3 years' experience are required; driving licence and

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 2/3 or HND/HNC in mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years' experience in a commercial M&E environment.
• Strong knowledge of BMS, UPS, LV generators, HVAC and control circuits.
• Eligible for high-level security clearance.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all M&E systems.

• Monitor and interpret Building Management Systems (BMS) to maintain optimal site performance.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the below-defined requirements for the role.

• Minimum City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) or HND/HNC, in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience working within a commercial M&E environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of BMS, UPS, LV generators, HVAC, and control circuits.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain high-level security clearance.
• Must hold a valid, clean UK driving licence.
