Job summary

SARIA UK is seeking a Shift Electrician to join the Doncaster site. The role involves 12‑hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off rotating pattern, with daily responsibilities spanning electrical installation, routine maintenance, and safety compliance to support continuous production.

Candidates should hold a recognised electrician apprenticeship and have extensive experience in a continuous process environment, able to work independently or as part of a team. The position is based on-site in Doncaster.

Qualifications

• You must have completed a recognised Electrician apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment.
• Familiarity with general factory maintenance practices.
• Proficient with PLC logic and inverter drives.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing electrical installation works for industrial applications.
• Day-to-day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments before starting any work.
• Maintain logs and job sheets as required.
• Keep working area clean and tidy after tasks.
• Install and maintain equipment without interrupting production.
• Assist other mechanical/operational departments when required.
• Support Maintenance Team and cover shifts during holidays/sickness.
• Take on additional duties as required by Management/site.
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements to ensure safety.

The Position

Applications are invited for a Shift Electrician to work at our SARIA, Doncaster Site. This is a full-time position, working an average of 42 hours a week, 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, both days and nights.

As a Shift Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

• Ongoing electrical installation works for all industrial applications.
• Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
• Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
• Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task.
• To install and maintain new and existing equipment, whilst ensuring production is not interrupted.
• Assisting other mechanical/operational departments when required.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team and cover shifts for holidays/sickness when the business requires.
• To assist in any other duties as required by Management/site.
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, whilst complying with the Company’s Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

The Person

• You must have served a recognised Electrician Apprenticeship / Qualification.
• Have extensive Electrical experience working in a continuous process environment.
• Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• You must be able to work well individually and has part of a team.
• Be able to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, as required.
