Job summary

SARIA's Doncaster site is seeking a Shift Electrician to join the industrial maintenance team on a 4-on 4-off, 12-hour shift pattern, including days and nights.

You will perform electrical installation and routine maintenance of plant and machinery, conduct risk assessments, keep logs, and ensure safety and production continuity.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an Electrician Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Extensive electrical experience in continuous process environments.
• Familiar with factory maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of PLC logic and inverter drives.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing electrical installation for industrial applications.
• Day-to-day maintenance of plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments before starting work.
• Ensure that logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
• Keep working area clean and tidy after job completion.
• Install and maintain equipment without interrupting production.
• Assist other maintenance/operational departments when required.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team and cover shifts as needed.
• Assist in any other duties as required by Management/site.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.

The Position

Applications are invited for a Shift Electrician to work at our SARIA, Doncaster Site. This is a full-time position, working an average of 42 hours a week, 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, both days and nights.

As a Shift Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company's requirements but will include:

• Ongoing electrical installation works for all industrial applications.
• Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
• Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
• Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task.
• To install and maintain new and existing equipment, whilst ensuring production is not interrupted.
• Assisting other mechanical/operational departments when required.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team and cover shifts for holidays/sickness when the business requires.
• To assist in any other duties as required by Management/site.
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, whilst complying with the Company's Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

The Person

• You must have served a recognised Electrician Apprenticeship / Qualification.
• Have extensive Electrical experience working in a continuous process environment.
• Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• You must be able to work well individually and has part of a team.
• Be able to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, as required.
