Job summary

Edwards & Pearce Limited are recruiting a skilled Shift Electrician for a Doncaster site. You will undertake ongoing electrical installation works and day-to-day maintenance of plant and machinery in a continuous process environment, with a strong focus on safety and production continuity.

You should have an apprenticeship/qualification in electrical trade, experience with PLC logic and inverter drives, and the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Must have served a recognised Electrician Apprenticeship / Qualification.
• Extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment.
• Familiarity with general factory maintenance practices.
• Conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• Able to work well individually and as part of a team.
• Able to work under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate well at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing electrical installation works for all industrial applications.
• Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
• Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
• Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task.
• To install and maintain new and existing equipment, whilst ensuring production is not interrupted.
• Assisting other mechanical/operational departments when required.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team and cover shifts for holidays/sickness when the business requires.
• To assist in any other duties as required by Management/site.
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, whilst complying with the Company's Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

Our client is a long standing and reputable business who has a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated within the food chain. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Shift Electrician to join their professional team at their site in Doncaster.

The Position:

• Ongoing electrical installation works for all industrial applications.
• Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
