Job summary

SARIA Limited in Doncaster is seeking a Shift Electrician to join our site operations. The role is full-time, with a 4 on 4 off pattern on 12-hour day and night shifts, focusing on electrical installation and maintenance across industrial equipment.

The successful candidate will hold a recognised electrician apprenticeship, have extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment, and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team while maintaining high safety

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognised Electrician apprenticeship/qualification.
• Extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment.
• Familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• Able to work well individually and as part of a team.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ongoing electrical installation works for industrial applications.
• Maintain plant and machinery on a day-to-day basis.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before starting work.
• Complete logs and job sheets accurately.
• Keep work area clean and tidy on completion of tasks.
• Install and maintain equipment without interrupting production.
• Assist other mechanical/operational departments as required.
• Support the Maintenance Team and cover shifts for holidays/sickness.
• Perform other duties as required by Management/site.

The Position

Applications are invited for a Shift Electrician to work at our SARIA, Doncaster Site. This is a full-time position, working an average of 42 hours a week, 4 on 4 off 12-hour shifts, both days and nights.

As a Shift Electrician your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

• Ongoing electrical installation works for all industrial applications.
• Day to day maintenance of all plant and machinery.
• Conduct risk assessments on all jobs before undertaking any work/tasks.
• Ensure that all logs and job sheets are filled in as required.
• Ensure that the working area is clean and tidy on completion of any job/task.
• To install and maintain new and existing equipment, whilst ensuring production is not interrupted.
• Assisting other mechanical/operational departments when required.
• Provide support to the Maintenance Team and cover shifts for holidays/sickness when the business requires.
• To assist in any other duties as required by Management/site.
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, whilst complying with the Company’s Health and Safety requirements to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

The Person

• You must have served a recognised Electrician Apprenticeship / Qualification.
• Have extensive Electrical experience working in a continuous process environment.
• Be familiar with general factory maintenance practices.
• Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
• You must be able to work well individually and has part of a team.
• Be able to work well under pressure, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, as required.
