Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is helping a well-established UK manufacturing business in the Cheshire area recruit a Shift Engineer to maintain and repair production machinery and support continuous improvement. The role involves planned maintenance, reacting to breakdowns, and ensuring health and safety standards in a fast-paced facility.

You will work with production teams, perform inspections, complete records and participate in risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial or production environments.
• Strong mechanical maintenance skills and fault-finding ability.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
• Work with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Complete equipment inspections and maintenance records.
• Undertake risk assessments before maintenance activities.
• Support safe working practices and maintain a tidy work environment.
